The Panchatantra - Story 22

STORY NO. 22. THE TWO-HEADED BIRD

There lived once a two-headed bird. The heads were in opposite directions, but there was only one body and one stomach. One day, one of the mouths got some nectar and was about to eat it.

The other mouth asked for part of that nectar and was
refused. Then that mouth searched for some deadly poison, and swallowed it. The poison entered the common stomach and soon killed the bird and with it both its heads.
